FiGa FilmsWe are FiGa Films, an art house film distribution Company, based in Los Angeles, specializing in films from Latin America for selective North American audiences. We are proud to be “The Home of the New Latin Cinema”. From the Mexican boarder to the tip of Tierra del Fuego, there is a wave of unknown filmmakers, from diverse cultures, each with distinct points of view, telling stories of complex and universal themes, about a region long in storied history and tradition. Young Latino filmmakers are dictating what’s new and what's hot, and we are their outlet. FiGa Films is determined in showing every work we select to the broadest possible audience, whether through theatrical art house release, straight to DVD, or to broadcast on cable and public television stations and broadband Internet. Our goal is to nourish young filmmakers, to help them with the post-production phase through the release of their films, to create lasting alliances. We want to follow their careers and watch them bloom. We want the films the big studios do not want. We are not interested in the obvious and the predictable. We want the little films deemed too un-commercial; movies that transport us and blow us away. There is an audience out there, just as thirsty as us, for quality storytelling. Our focus will be from Mexico to Argentina, and all countries in between. Our goal is to represent and acquire the best of Latin American cinema and let you enjoy the ride. |
